Service Description
Are you seeking to challenge your high-achieving child? This course is designed to expose students to higher level content including historical, scientific, and technical texts as well as current events. We'll use paired texts to help us generate opinion and informational writing pieces that cite and attribute their sources. In addition to expanding reasoning and written/verbal communication abilities, support with the school curriculum is incorporated, too! The intent is to provided supplemental instruction that compliments the current curriculum and enhances students’ classroom learning. Your child will need one B5 notebook for any tutoring course they take with Literacy in Action as well as a pencil, eraser, pen, highlighters, and sticky notes. It would be great if they could use the same notebook to refer to previous learning.
