Founder
很高兴见到您！It's a pleasure to meet you! My teaching journey began in 2011 after earning a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies (Elementary Education) and a Master's degree in Special Education. I've taught students from kindergarten to college level across three states and abroad.
My experiences have honed a unique ability to present content in a manner which respects how learning is acquired alongside child development. Education is my passion, specifically challenging students to think critically by making high-level content accessible to all.
China holds a special place in my heart as I volunteer taught for two years in Sichuan province and Chongqing as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer. I returned a decade later with my family to BASIS International School Guangzhou as a teacher-leader delivering English and Humanities to grades three and four. I currently teach all subjects at a public elementary school in America.
Literacy in Action LLC was created to share my love of teaching and learning with students and families who are equally passionate about education. As a mother myself, I understand the importance of providing a strong foundation for your child. Let's learn and grow together!
